Spotlight on: ek robotics
Partnership Objective:
To support the local community and highlight career opportunities at ek robotics
Background:
Chris Price, UK MD of ek robotics – one of the world’s leading manufacturer and system integrator of innovative high-performance transport robotics for production and warehouse logistics – met with the school in May 2021 to explore how the company could support the school. The German-based business had recently opened an office in Buckingham and was keen to begin supporting the local community, as well as to provide career opportunities to students. Following a month of meetings, discussions and a presentation to the company headquarters in Dusseldorf, ek robotics confirmed that they would donate £107,000 to the school, and pledged to further support the school for a period of at least five years. In light of the scale of the overall pledge, the school was delighted to name the soon to be completed sports facilities the ek robotics Sports Campus.
Activities:
As well as providing capital investment in the school, ek robotics is also using its expertise and resources to get involved in a wide range of initiatives. A true partnership.
